From the upper floor of their historic home, the occupants could see the Puget Sound and the Mukilteo ferry stop. The need for a garage and more bedrooms prompted the clients to request a basement be added to their home. By raising the home and placing a new level beneath the existing building, the main floor now has extensive views. A covered deck with a fireplace above the garage provides plenty of space to take it all in.
