Granite Falls Historical Museum
A small historic home with limited space housed the Historical Society’s collections of artifacts from the historic logging town. This site was brossly inadequate and most of the collection had long been in storage. We were to design a new building with room to display the collection, but retain the charm of the existing historic home. The resulting facility was designed to reflect the lumber mills of times past, including a large space for a 36” diameter tree trunk for a tethered logging display and a mezzanine from which to view it.
